Ambassador of Haiti to Vatican visits Generalate Community

ROME, Italy - On Sunday, March 13, 2022, the General House Community had the joy and the privilege to welcome the Ambassador of Haiti to the Holy See (Vatican), His Excellency Jean Jude PIQUANT.
 
On this occasion, the Superior General of the Brothers of the Christian Instruction (of Ploermel), Brother Hervé ZAMOR, along with other two brothers, Joseph BELLANGER and  Rony PIERRE joined us for the festive lunch offered in honor of the ambassador.
 
The ambassador, an ex-seminarian, expressed gratitude to the community.
 
“I am happpy to be here with you upon the  invitation of Fr. Wismick. I know many Montfortians in Haiti. And you are welcome to Haiti. The contribution of the Catholic Church is very siginficant  in upholding human values, education, health sectors, etc., complementing with the government. Diplomacy and missiology do not conflict.” He said drawing sniggers from the audience.
 
On behalf of the community, Fr. Wismick JEAN CHARLES, SMM thanked the ambassador, Bro.  Herve’, Bro. Joseph and Rony for the visit.
 
Present during lunch were the Superior General, Fr. Luiz Augusto STEFANI, SMM and his councillors, Fr. Joji, the Superior of the community, Fr. Anar, Bros. Jean Desire’ and Albino, Fr. Fidelis, Fr. Bala, Fr. Richard and Fr. Alex.
