Entrance to the novitiate

RUTENG, Indonesia - March 25, 2025 is a special day for us as Montfortians, because on that day we celebrate our Montfortian Family titular feast, namely the feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. Mary’s fiat to be the Mother of God is Good News for all Christians because through her God realizes His salvation for all human beings.

In the same day, we witnessed another fiat coming from the fourteen young men who have desire to begin the novitiate. Their fiat has become another good news for Indonesian Montfortian and for all Montfortian families. They are Frederikus Barcelius Bhoko, Oswaldus Dandri, Atanasius Fajar Pratama Peti Mau, Hadrianus Karno, Marselinus Aman, Vincentius Marita Pierre Lengga, Silvester Daputra, Leonardo Brechmans Ferga Lapung, Agustinus Mariano Gili Sato, Hendrikus Rogertino Ndoa Tolo, Rivaldo Dagowe, Yohanes Danggu, Wilhelmus Crespo Nggajo, and Agustinus Fransiskus Sugi Radho.

After having an 8 – day retreat with Fr. Niko HERMIAWAN, SMM, they received their habit in a special ceremony. The celebration was led by Fr. Antonius TENSI, SMM. In his homily, Fr. Antonius (Provincial), reminded them for what it means to be a novice.

Other points that he pointed out that one should listen to their formator and giving respect to their habit, because habit symbolizes of their being as Montfortian and religious. This celebration was attended by all Montfortians who work in Flores Region, Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, Fr. Lorens GAFUR, SMM who is our missionary in Vietnam and some families.  This memorable celebration was concluded with a sumptuous meal. After taking meal together we went to St. Michael Kumba Parish to attend the perpetual profession of Sr. Novriana Yudit LENAMA, DW. It was attended by Sr. Henedina (Gina), DW, Delegation Leader, from the Philippines, some priests, parishioner, families and AMQAH members. So, this is another good news for the Montfortian family.
