Feast of Montfortian Consecration
FATIMA, Portugal - December 8, 2025. A day of great celebration and intense spirituality, the “Casa Montfort” in Fatima brought together 45 people who had completed their consecration, accompanied by more than 100 faithful who had renewed their annual commitment.
The celebration, presided over by Fr. Carlos VIEIRA, SMM, was enriched by a homily inspired by the Gospel of the day. The priest highlighted three essential elements for authentically living the consecrated life: listening, welcoming, and accepting God's will. Three verbs which, according to Father Vieira, trace a path of openness, trust, and docility to the Spirit.
This event brought together participants from Portugal, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Brazil, and Angola, confirming the international and inclusive dimension of this spiritual journey.
The journey toward consecration began six weeks earlier with online and in-person training to deepen the spirituality of consecration. Following this, each participant undertook a 30-day period of personal exercises dedicated to prayer, meditation, and discernment.
The day concluded with a communal lunch, during which the participants shared moments of joy, testimonies, and fellowship—a simple yet meaningful moment that allowed everyone to celebrate together the journey they had undertaken.
