Marian Congress at Puthanatham, India

MANAPPARAI, India - The Montfort Marian Centre, India, organized a one-day Marian Congress at St. Benedict’s Parish, Puthanatham. The central theme of the Congress was “Mary and the Church.” Six sessions were conducted, covering topics such as Marian Dogmas, Mary in Scripture, Mary in the Christian Life, True and False Devotion, and others.
The resource persons included Fr. Alexander SWAMY NATHAN, SMM, Director of the Montfort Marian Centre, Bro. John XAVIER SG, and a few parishioners. The Congress began with the Sunday Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Alexander followed by the conference sessions.
Fr. Amalraj Madhivanan KULANDHAISAMY, SMM, the parish priest, meticulously organized the event with the dedicated support of the parish youth group, Montfort Boys and Rosary Girls. Their hard work and enthusiasm ensured the smooth execution of the program. A special word of thanks goes to Fr. Amalraj, who worked tirelessly to make the event a success.
Over one hundred participants of all ages—mostly parishioners—took part in the Congress. They expressed great joy and satisfaction, noting that it was their first experience attending a Marian Congress. Many shared that they had gained valuable insights for their spiritual growth. At the conclusion, each participant received a certificate of participation.
