Marian Congress for young legionaries of Mary in Uganda

MBARARA, Uganda - From 5th December to 8th December 2025, the Montfort Fathers in Kabuyanda Parish in Uganda held a Marian Congress for all the young legionaries of Mary in the Parish. This parish is hitherto under the Montfort Missionaries.
It was a wonderful moment for all the young legionaries to get to know more about the Mother of God, while intelligently and spiritually following the understanding of St. Louis Marie-de Montfort.
About 600 young people attended the congress, and its peak was the solemn celebration of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the 8th of December with Holy Mass.
The Congress started in the evening of 5th December, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary with candles. A circle resembling a rosary was made and the young people meditatively were guided by Fr. Alex MUHWEZI, SMM and Fr. Ludoviko AHIMBISIBWE, SMM to recite the holy rosary. It was a touching and spiritually healing rosary.
From 6th-7th, we held several talks with the young legionaries, taking them through True devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Secret of the Rosary.
The young people were excited to know and learn more about Jesus and His Holy Mother, in the footsteps of St. Louis of Montfort.
On the last day of the Congress, we instituted the leadership of the young legionaries of Mary, and inaugurated their Curia. We are hopeful that as they grow, in wisdom, knowledge and faith, they will indeed be good Christians and citizens of our homeland, and those whom the Lord wills for Himself could embrace Montfortian Vocation.
We hope that each year about the same time, we shall be having congresses of the similar nature that our Christians in this part of the world may better come to the knowledge of Jesus and His Holy Mother.
May Our lady seat of wisdom, intercede for us.
