as the 23rd Superior General of the Company of Mary.

Father Yoseph Putra Dwi Darma WATUN was born in Magelng, Central Java, Indonesia on 16 July 1970. He pronounced his first vows on 15 August 1992 and was ordained on 21 June 1998. He speaks Bahasa Indonesian, English, French and Italian. He has been involved in the following ministries :

1997 - 1998: Diaconate ministry at Immaculate Virgin Mary Parish, Putussibau, Indonesia
1998 - 1999: International Montfortian Institute
1999 - 2000: Socius at the SMM novitiate in Bandung, Indonesia
2000 - 2004: Licentiate in the Institute of Religious Life in Asia, Manila, Philippines
2004 - 2009: Novice Master of the SMM novitiate, in Ruteng, Indonesia
2009 - 2011: Superior of the SMM Indonesia
2011 - 2017: The general assistant of the SMM
2017 - 2020: On-going Formation at the institute of the integral human formation of Montreal, Canada.
2020 - 2023: Rector of the SMM Scholasticate, Indonesia
09 May 2023: elected as the 23rd Superior General of the Company of Mary
