BANGALORE, India -The perpetual profession of vows, also known as making final vows, is the final stage inn joining a religious congregation. The four brothers namely, Abhilash MARIYAPPA, Amit DUNG DUNG, John Jacquet VINCENT and Daniel Selvakumar SEKAR made their perpetual profession of their religious vows in the Congregation of the Company of Mary, on the Birthday of our Founder St. Louis Marie de Montfort 31st January 2025.

It is not merely a formality but a transformative experience. It signifies a profound shift in one’s identity and priorities, as the individual embraces a life of deeper devotion and service. This commitment is often seen as a response to a divine call, a desire to live a life that is fully aligned with one’s faith and values. The four brothers have come forward willingly with full knowledge to commit for the service of the congregation and the church at large.

The Holy Eucharist celebration for the perpetual profession of the four brothers was presided by Most. Rev. Rozario Menezes SMM, Bishop of Lae, Papua New Guinea and in the presence of Rev. Fr. Sebastian Raj SMM and the councillors. Bishop preached the homily, exhorting the four brothers to live faithfully according to the promises uttered. Rev. Fr. Sebastian RAJ SMM, the provincial, representing the Superior General received the vows and embracing them, welcomed into the Montfortian family. It was a twofold celebration of perpetual profession and the Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee of Most. Rev. Rozario MENEZES SMM. It was felicitated by the province post Eucharistic celebration and followed by felicitation to the perpetually professed members. The parents and the family members of these four brothers witnessed their final commitment to the Congregation of the Company of Mary. A remarkable day in each one’s life and in the annals of Indian Montfortian family.

The vice-province welcomes with great joy and deep appreciation these four promising young men into Montfortian family. After the felicitation Br. Daniel SELVAKUMAR SMM, on behalf of his companions expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who had supported them throughout their seminary formation.

Glory to Jesus in Mary, Glory to Mary in Jesus, Glory to God Alone.
