SAINT LAURENT-SUR-SÈVRE, France - "O admirable Mother, present me to thy dear Son as His eternal slave, so that as He has redeemed me by thee, by thee He may receive me." This is only a small piece of the long prayer of Consecration to Jesus-Wisdom through the hands of Mary composed by Father de Montfort.

On 31st August 2018, eleven novices consecrate themselves to Jesus Christ through Mary in the chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary, in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre. They are Amos, Ekenley, Gilo, John, Blanc and Alex from Haiti; Claude Aimé, Frédéric, Fano and Mija from Madagascar; and Claude from DR of Congo. Of course, during this celebration, they not only pronounced the formula of consecration but also renewed their promises of baptism and fidelity to the Holy Scriptures. This act of consecration is also an immediate preparation for their first vows they will pronounce on September 24, 2018, in Montfort-sur-Meu.

This act of consecration to Jesus through Mary, celebrated in the Eucharist, is the culmination of the "Montfortian Month" lived by these eleven novices during a month with Fr Olivier Maire as the preacher. During the month, they prepared themselves by seeking to know the spirit of the world, to know themselves, Jesus and Mary. They also visited several places where Montfort had lived and worked.

After having finished all the prayers of consecration, they signed the formula of the consecration which they wrote with their own hands and received from Fr. Olivier a replica of the statue of Our Lady of the Way. They are now in the list of “those whom Mary loves, whom Mary teaches, whom Mary leads, whom Mary nourishes and protects as her children and her slaves".
