4. Confraternity "Mary, Queen of All Hearts"

“Mary, Queen of All Hearts”

St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, in his treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, expresses the desire that all those who practise this devotion should be grouped together into a Confraternity (TD 227). This was realised in the year 1899, when the Confraternity of “Mary, Queen of All Hearts”, was established at Ottawa, Canada. It is under the care of the Company of Mary or the Montfort Missionaries.

The Confraternity is composed of those faithful who wish to live out their baptismal vows, by means of a total consecration to Christ by the hands of Mary, that is, by the perfect practise of true devotion to Mary as taught by St. Louis-Marie de Montfort.

The conditions of enrolment are:

a) The consecration of oneself to Jesus Christ, Eternal and Incarnate Wisdom, by the hands of Mary, according to the formula of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, to be made after a suitable preparation, such as the TTJ. The consecration is to be renewed each day, using some such formula as: “I am all yours, and all that I have I offer to you, O most loving Jesus, through Mary, your holy Mother”.

b) The inscription of one’s name at any Montfort Centre.

c) To live habitually and always (this is the essence of the consecration) in a state of complete dependence on Mary’s will, after the example given by the Son of God at Nazareth.

Membership in this Association brings with it spiritual communion with the entire Montfortian Family.

In the Philippines, the person officially in charge of the Confraternity is the Delegate Superior of the Montfort Missionaries, who resides at 121, 9th Street, New Manila, 1112 Q.C., Tel  + 63 (02) 721.2104.

For Malaysia and Singapore, the reference address is:  Brothers of St. Gabriel, Montfort Centre, c/o Boy’s Town, 624 Upper Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 678212, Republic of Singapore, Tel:  +65-67695711, Fax: +65-67695922.

“It was through the Blessed Virgin Mary that Jesus came into the world,

and it is also through her that he must reign in the world.”
