The biblical texts reported in this book have been taken from The NRSV (New Revised Standard Version) Bible: Catholic Edition. Makati City: St Pauls, 2006.

The Montfortian texts have been taken from God Alone: The Collected Writings of Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort, Bay Shore, New York: Montfort Publications, 1987.

The following abbreviations refer to the writings of Montfort quoted in this manual.

LEW = The Love of Eternal Wisdom
SM =  The Secret of Mary
TD =  True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin
MR =  Methods for Saying the Rosary
PM =  Prayer for Missionaries

The following abbreviations refer to the documents of the Church quoted in this manual.

MC =  Marialis Cultus  (Pope Paul VI)
RM =  Redemptoris Mater (Pope John Paul II)
LS  =  Laudato Sì (Pope Francis)
LG =  Lumen Gentium (Vatican Council II)

Note that, throughout this exposition, the alternative name for “St. Louis-Marie de Montfort” is the single word “Montfort”, as he himself, out of humility, wanted to be called by the people of his time.

 “It was through the Blessed Virgin Mary that Jesus came into the world,

 and it is also through her that he must reign in the world.”
