PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea - From Tuesday, 11th December to Thursday, 13th December, the Annual Assembly of the Delegation of Papua New Guinea took place in Moresby, the capital of the country.
Twelve confreres, including Bishop Gilles, who work in this entity took part in the deliberation. Bishop Rozario Menezes could not participate because he was already in his diocese to prepare for his ordination.
The Assembly was led by Father Masjon, Superior of this Delegation, who was directly accompanied by Father Luizinho, Superior General.
Many topics were discussed during the deliberations. One of the results that can be recalled here is the vision of the entity that will become the driving force of its new administration: "To be the Church alive in Christ by walking together for the evangelisation of people, in the footsteps of Saint Montfort".
On the last day of the Assembly, during the closing Mass, the Superior General installed the new administrative leaders of this entity: Father Aloisius Banggur as Superior Delegate, assisted by two councilors, Fr. Francis P. Enasappa and Fr. Roy S. Millano.
Also in the framework of this Assembly, the participants had the opportunity to visit, among others, the parish of Morata, where the formation house for the Montfortian candidates, as well as the community of the Brothers of Saint-Gabriel are located.
Good service, good mission!
