Blessing of the New Pilgrims' Home
[FR]
SHANTHINAGAR, India - “The Almighty has done great things for me, and Holy is his name”. By the Providence of God and the continuous maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Shanthinagar tribal parish on the day of the Assumption feast (15-08-2025) at Janarapthi Shrine celebrated a significant milestone with the blessing of its new Pilgrims' Home on the hill.
This sacred space, designed to provide accommodation and hospitality to devotees, especially the poor tribal faithful, was solemnly blessed by the Assistant General, Fr. Prem KUMAR SMM and the Provincial of the Vice Province of India, Fr. Sebastian RAJ SMM along with the other confreres.
The new Pilgrims' Home offers a comfortable and serene environment for pilgrims to deepen their spiritual journey. Its construction is a testament to the generosity and dedication of the faithful of the parish, benefactors and well-wishers who have contributed to this noble cause. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Assistant General and Provincial for gracing the occasion with their presence and blessing the new facility. The Janarapthi Shrine has always been a beacon of hope and spiritual solace for the poor tribal faithful. The new Pilgrims' Home will further enhance the shrine's capacity to serve this community, providing them with a welcoming space to worship, reflect, and find solace.
May the New Pilgrims' Home be a sanctuary of peace and spiritual rejuvenation for all who visit. May it foster a deeper sense of devotion and community among the faithful, and may it continue to be a symbol of the shrine's commitment to serving the poor and marginalized.
Fr. Aswani KUMAR SMM.
