Daughters of Wisdom sisters visit SMM General house community

Rome, Italy - Daughters of Wisdom sisters who are in Rome, Italy for formation training and pilgrimage made a courtesy visit to the Montfort Missionaries General house community on 17th June 2025.
In an interview with the Montfort Communications, Sr. Cathy Castillo FDLS originally from Peru, said they are happy to be with the General house community members of Montfort Missionaries who invited them for a dinner.
“We arrived on 13th June for formation training and pilgrimage to Rome. We are hosted by the Montfort Brothers of St Gabriel. We feel honoured to be invited by the Montfort Fathers in their General house. We are happy to be here. I feel happy to concretely appreciate the rich history of the Church as we visit the Vatican, the churches and museums here in Rome,” she remarked.
The eight Sisters, participating in the Wisdom Year with their Formators, Sister Symphorose FDLS and Sister Karuna, FDLS are in Rome as part of their training and are taking advantage of the Jubilee Year of Hope for a pilgrimage. They will return to Paris on Thursday, June 19th, and will fly back to their home countries on June 24th. They come from Indonesia, Madagascar, Haiti, Congo (DRC), Peru, Papua New Guinea, and India.
The superior General, Father Yoseph Putra Dwi Darma WATUN, SMM and his councillors were present during the dinner which took place in the garden of the General house.
Montfortian family consists of three congregations namely, the Daughters of Wisdom, the Montfort Missionaries and the Monfort Brothers of St. Gabriel. The Congregation of the Daughters of Wisdom is an institute of apostolic life founded by Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort on February 2, 1703, in Poitiers, France. Marie-Louise Trichet, Blessed Marie-Louise of Jesus, the first Daughter of Wisdom, is its co-founder.
