Entrance to the Pre-Postulancy Program 2024-2025

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - The entrance of the three Pre-Postulants, Bro. Mark Victor M. PESUELO (Catarman Northern Samar, Philippines), Bro. Arben Smith P. CANDIDO (Pangalcagan, Bogasong, Antique, Philippines) and Bro. Jhay Albert CUESTA (Dagupan, Pangasinan, Philippines), happened on July 4, 2024. It was the memorial of Our Lady of Joy and they were welcomed by the different communities of the Montfort Missionaries in the Philippines.

At exactly 5:00 in the afternoon, the celebration began with the praying of the Holy Rosary followed by the Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr. Sherwin Y. NUŇEZ, SMM presided over the Mass and was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Norwyn V. BAYDO, SMM, Delegation Superior of the Montfort Missionaries together with other Montfortian priests and brother (Rev. Fr. Francis M. TACIO, SMM, Rev. Fr. Samuel M. GONZALES, SMM, Rev. Fr. Federick B. YUMANG, SMM, Rev. Fr. Lester C. BONETE, SMM, Bro. Reynaldo F. SILVERIO, SMM). Likewise, the families and friends of the three brothers were also present to witness the rite of entrance.

Rev. Fr. Sherwin, SMM shared an inspirational homily. He deeply touched the hearts and minds of everyone who attended the rite, especially the three pre-postulants. His profound words and heartfelt message provided them with immense encouragement and strength.

Immediately after the Holy Eucharist, the rite of the entrance for the Pre-Postulancy Program 2024-2025 started. Rev. Fr. Federick B. YUMANG, SMM, the Director of the Pre-Postulancy Formation presented the three brothers to Rev. Fr. Norwyn V. BAYDO, SMM. The brothers expressed their desires to be part of the formation year under the inspiration of Father de Montfort. After the dialogue, the brothers signed the VMG (Vision, Mission, Goal) of the Pre-Postulancy program and received the “Cross” as a symbol of their identity as SMM Pre-Postulants to officially welcome them.

Bro. Mark Victor M. PESUELO, the Pre-Postulants’ representative, delivered a heartfelt message expressing their gratitude to everyone. He conveyed their appreciation to the Philippine Delegation of the Montfort Missionaries, other members of the Montfortian family, their relatives and friends who witnessed the memorable event of their lives.

The celebration concluded with a simple dinner, a meal to remember, and a symbol of the overflowing love of God to the three new Pre-Postulants of the Montfort Missionaries.
