MARIENHEIDE, Germany - On 5th September 2026, the General Delegation of Germany began a new chapter in its journey. During a solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist in Marienheide, Fr. Francis Xavier officially took up the responsibility of serving as the new Delegation Superior, together with the newly appointed members of the Delegation Council, Fr. Hermann Josef Jünemann and Br. Johannes Boßmann.
The celebration was a significant moment for our Delegation. Our confreres came together for the occasion, and we were also blessed by the presence of many faithful from the parish community of Marienheide. Their participation and prayers made the celebration a joyful expression of our common faith and our communion as a Montfortian family.
We were particularly grateful for the presence of Fr. Marco PASINATO, SMM, Assistant General Superior, who came from Rome to be with us on this important occasion. His presence was a beautiful sign of the closeness of the Generalate to the German Delegation. In the name of the General Superior and his Council, he witnessed the oath-taking and shared words of congratulations, encouragement and confidence.
My sincere thanks also go to all the Fathers who concelebrated the Holy Eucharist and witnessed the oath-taking. Your presence, prayers, encouragement and personal words of support have been a great source of strength to me. I am deeply grateful for the fraternal spirit with which you have accompanied me at the beginning of this new responsibility.
I am especially grateful to my two councillors, Fr. Hermann Josef Juenemann and Bro. Johannes BOSSMANN, for their willingness to accept this responsibility and to walk with me in the service of the Delegation.
I also wish to express my profound gratitude to our General Superior and his Council for the trust they have placed in me. I receive this responsibility with gratitude and humility. I am conscious that this ministry is not simply an administrative responsibility or a position of leadership. It is, above all, a call to serve.
Above all, I give thanks to Almighty God. Every vocation and every responsibility in the Church is ultimately a gift and a call from God. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Congregation in this new way. I place the future of our Delegation in God's hands, trusting that he will guide us, strengthen us and show us the path we are called to follow.
With trust in Divine Providence, with the intercession of Mary, and inspired by the missionary spirit of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort, I look forward to serving the German Delegation.
May God bless our Delegation, bless each of our confreres, and lead us together in the path of faithful service, unity and hope.
Fr. Francis Xavier Antony, SMM
