Jubilee Prayers at the Montfort Missionaries Generalate
ROME, Italy - In a heartening display of devotion to Mary, a hundred of youths gathered afternoon for a prayer at the General house of the Montfort Missionaries on 30th July 2025. The prayer event, organized by the Monfort Jubilee 25 liturgical committee, brought together young pilgrims from diverse backgrounds and nationalities to share in an afternoon of spiritual reflection and community bonding. We were joined by the Spanish pilgrimage group that is hosted by San Luigi de Monfort parish in Monte Mario, Rome.
The prayer session, held under clear skies and warm weather of Rome began at 6:30 p.m. Antonio BETTONI, SMM welcomed us all with a short message on the importance of faith, hope, purpose, and mutual support among the youth. We then joined in a series of prayers led by volunteers in various languages such as Italian, English, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Kiswahili, Lingala, Portuguese, German, Polish, Spanish and Dutch etc. We began from the main gate of the Generalate to the Grotto where we concluded our prayers with the solemn blessings.
Many expressed appreciation for the opportunity to pause their day for a moment of peace and shared purpose after a pilgrimage in the city according to language groups.
