Latin American and Caribbean Scholasticate

LIMA, Peru - On July 20, 2025, the anniversary of the canonization of Saint Louis Marie de Montfort, in the Latin American and Caribbean Montfortian Scholasticate, we had the joy of celebrating the renewal of religious vows of our brothers: Didier Mauricio Naranjo Agudelo, Oscar Alexander Ruiz Aguirres, María Joseph Irudaya Macmillan Mahesh, Joel Airukkaran Joseph, Diego Alexander Castaño Gaviria, and Vitor Galvanin Araujo.

Before the renewal, they had a few days of preparation with a retreat led by Fr. Carlos Salas COLOTTA, SMM, where he spoke about consecrated religious life based on the Sacred Scriptures and the inspiration of Father de Montfort and Ratio I and II. His first reflection began with the question:

“What is non-negotiable in religious life? In the face of this rapidly changing world, it makes us see that everything is changeable; nothing is lasting or permanent; there are new paradigms; new ways of living religious life, but the essence is the same; it is what Jesus himself established.”

The celebration of the Eucharist and the renewal of vows took place at the Parish of Our Lady of the Visitation, presided over by Fr. José Ángel Julcahuanca PARIATÓN, Superior of the Peru-Brazil General Delegation, and also by other Montfortian priests and parishioners of the parish. We accompanied our religious brothers of the Scholasticate in their process of formation and discernment.
