Meeting on Hope in preparation for the Jubilee Year

LORETO, Italy - From 13 to 15 September, the annual gathering of Montfort associates of Italy was held in Loreto. As Fr. Angelo SORTI, SMM, Provincial of Italy, pointed out in his welcoming address, this year's theme was intended to be a preparation for the Jubilee Year 2025, which is why it bore the title: "Christ Wisdom, living flame of my hope".

The message on Christian hope was delivered to the 130 participants in three teachings.

The first teaching: "Pilgrims in hope: towards the Jubilee of 2025" was given by Msgr. Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization.  

The second teaching with a biblical character, proposed by the biblical scholar Rosanna VIRGILI, was entitled "In hope we have been saved", a meditation on the text of Romans 8:12-27.

The third teaching of Fr. Santino BREMBILLA, SMM was entitled "Montfort, pilgrim of hope".

The days of Loreto were enriched by various celebrations at the Basilica under the direction of Fr. Efrem ASSOLARI, SMM, and other highlights: a testimony of Fr. Luigi COLLEONI, SMM, the concert of Fr. Giuseppe DAMINELLI, SMM, on the Canticles of Montfort, the renewal of baptismal promises presided over by Fr. Marco PASINATO, SMM and the Torchlight Rosary in the Basilica Square presided over by the Archbishop of Loreto, Fabio DAL CIN, who spoke words of welcome and encouragement for the Montfortians and the participants in the meeting. Next meeting from 12 to 14 September 2025.
