OTTAWA, Canada - Welcome and congratulations to you, new consecrated members of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Ottawa.
We are delighted to welcome you into the great family of all those who have chosen to give themselves to Jesus through Mary, in the spirit of Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort. Your commitment, the fruit of persevering preparation, is a great joy and a grace for the entire community.
On this memorable day, when you pronounced your act of consecration, surrounded by the prayers of the faithful, you embarked on a path of holiness and intimacy with Christ. The faith and fervour you demonstrated, all the way to the torchlight procession at the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in Ottawa, despite the freezing cold, are a beautiful inspiration to all.
