MALANG, Indonesia - On Saturday, August 15, 2026, the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, the Montfortian community in Malang, Indonesia, celebrated a moment full of gratitude and joy: the Celebration of the Perpetual Profession of three young confreres: one lay brother, Bro. Pendi, SMM, and two seminarians, Bro. Gusti, SMM, and Bro. Godi, SMM.
The Eucharistic celebration started at 4:30 pm and was presided over by the Provincial Superior, Fr. Antonius TENSI, SMM. During the celebration, the three confreres consciously pronounced their perpetual vows as an expression of total surrender to God and willingness to follow Christ in the spirit of Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort.
Their Perpetual Profession signified faithfulness in living a religious life through the vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience. This moment also served as a confirmation of the vocation journey they have undertaken during their formation and their readiness to continue their mission as Missionaries of the Montfortian Company of Mary.
The celebration proceeded solemnly and joyfully. The presence of several Montfort Fathers, the Scholasticate community, family, friends, and the faithful showed support and prayers for the three confreres. Everyone present gave thanks for the grace of the vocation that God has bestowed upon them.
For Bro. Pendi, Bro. Gusti, and Bro. Godi, their Perpetual Profession marked an important milestone confirming their commitment to growing ever more faithful to their vocation by living in brotherhood and dedicating themselves to the service of the Church and the mission of the Montfortian Company of Mary.
May the Lord always accompany and strengthen them as they live out the vocation they have chosen.
