Saint Anne of Auray Welcomes the Participants of the 36th Montfortian March

On Sunday, July 29, 2018, the 65 participants of the 36th Montfortian march arrived in the famous Breton sanctuary in France.
On Sunday, July 29, 2018, St. Anne welcomed the participants of the 36th Montfortian March (Montfort sur Meu – St. Anne d'Auray) from 10 different countries. In a week, they walked 120 km, in the footsteps of Father Gabriel Deshayes smm (1767 - 1841), as they celebrate the 250th anniversary of his birth, this year. Each day themes of reflection have been proposed, starting from the preparatory documents for the next synod of bishops on youth, vocation and discernment.
This event, which is now in its 36th edition, is to be – as one of the organizers said - "a path of body and soul, a journey in beauty and sharing, which goes beyond fatigue and unforeseen events. Each year, it gathers together participants who wish to embark on a brief spiritual journey, which can illuminate their own inner life. It is at the same time a pilgrimage inspired by St. Louis Marie de Montfort who gave the regulation with the purpose of praying to obtain true missionaries abandoned to Providence and Wisdom through Mary.
The schedule for next year is from July 21 to July 28, 2019 with the course: Pontchâteau - St Laurent-sur-Sèvre.
