20 May - General Chapter 2023
ROME - It was a day full of emotions, first of all, when we met the parents and the family of Fr. Olivier MAIRE, SMM. Some members of the General Administrations of the Daughters of Wisdom and the Brothers of Saint Gabriel also arrived.
Around ten o'clock, we went up to the Clémentine Hall in Vatican where the Holy Father spoke to us, recommending that we dare like Montfort and gave us three instructions: hospitality, creativity and tenderness. The memory of Fr. Olivier and the meeting with his parents were still full of emotion.
Back at the Passionists of Saints Giovanni e Paolo, we prepared for the celebration of the installation of the new General Administration in the afternoon. We went to the Basilica of San Bartolomeo on the Tiber Island where Bishop Rozario MENEZES, SMM presided at the Eucharist and received the profession of faith of the new Superior General.
At the end of the celebration, Fr. Olivier's parents donated to this Basilica, which preserves the memory of the Martyrs of the 20th and 21st centuries, a book of the Liturgy of the Hours of Fr. Olivier.
The return was a bit complicated, but in the end, we all got together for a fraternal dinner.
