ANALAMALOTRA, Madagascar - Monday, September 8, the Catholic Church celebrated the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the one conceived without stain or sin, the one preserved because she found grace with God, the one who is and will be faithful to the divine will even to the detriment of her own will.

According to Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, through the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, all should rejoice because God does not abandon us despite our faults. He offers us a second chance at salvation, and this comes through Mary, who will offer us Jesus, the Savior of the world. As Montfortians, we are invited to follow in the footsteps of our founder, who takes Mary as a sure path to Jesus.

On the occasion of the celebration, the Montfortian entity of Madagascar celebrated tripartite historic events because first, four postulants namely: Harvenah, Thiery, Jordi and Nambinina, began their novitiate.

In addition five novices including Njara Marcel, RAZAFIMAHATRATRA Basile, MAHAZOMILA Benoit, ANDRIANARIMALALA, Mbolatiana Hasina and RANDRIAMANANTENA Tajoniaina Eric Anderson pronounced their first religious profession in the company of Mary and; finally six Montfortian scholastics: Stheola, Mahery, Parfait, Lucien, Roger, and Rico, renewed their vows. These events took place at the parish of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus in Salazamay-Toamasina. The Holy Mass was presided over by Father Jean Joël RANDRIANARIVOMANANA, SMM, Superior of the Vice-Province of the Company of Mary in Madagascar, assisted by some Montfortian confreres.

In his homily, Father Jean-Joël began by explaining what a birth is. He began with the birth of the Virgin Mary and then continued to relate the new birth in a congregation to the completion of the novitiate and the daring to make first profession. Then, guided by the day's Gospel, which recounts the genealogy of Jesus, the Father Provincial explained that each person has their own story and experience, but this genealogy opens a door of hope for us and we must take up the challenge to follow Jesus in the footsteps of St. Louis Marie de Montfort.

After the Holy Mass, there was a small celebration marking the conclusion tripartite celebrations.
