Montfortian consecration in Ottawa

CANADA - At mass on December 8, 2023, a small group of men and women made their first consecration to Jesus through Mary in the spirit of Saint Louis de Montfort. After the homily, they placed a candle at the foot of the statue of Marie-Reine-des-Cœurs. Surrounded by the Montfort Associates of Ottawa and several others who had already made their consecration, they pronounced the formula written by Father de Montfort. This commitment was made in front of the parishioners of Notre-Dame de Lourdes.
This gesture inspired 4 other people to follow the same course of 10 meetings over a year, with a view to their own consecration. After mass, these 5 people signed a membership form for the Association Marie Reine des Cœurs, countersigned by Brother Gilles Paquette, s.m.m., responsible for Canada. The feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary continued for this small group and their guests, over bites and a glass of sparkling wine.
