“I am all yours, all that I have is yours, O Most loving Jesus through Mary, your most holy Mother” (TD no. 233).  The Final Profession of our brothers is a time of celebration and thanksgiving, not only to our Indian Province, but also to our Congregation and to the Universal Church.

BANGALORE, India - After completing their Theological studies at Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram (DVK) College and fulfilling the basic requirements for priestly formation, six of our brothers, namely, Brothers Arun D Souza, Jaya Kumar, Gnana Prakash, Bala Raju, Arul Jose Nashwin and Ravi Thappeta made their Perpetual Profession on 8th December 2017 at Maria Bhavan. They were sent to St. Laurent-Sur-Sèvre, France, to attend the Preparation for Perpetual Profession (PPP) course from August to October 2017.
The main celebrant on the day of their profession was Fr. Wismick who is our Assistant General. In his sermon he spoke about the importance of the call and highlighted the feast of the Immaculate Conception which was inspiring and fascinating. Along with him was Fr. Rozario, who is our General Councilor, Fr Michael Sahayaraj our Provincial, and our Montfortian priests. Many other priests and religious were also present to grace the occasion.  I would say that it was a historical event for the reason that after nearly 27 years of long gap we had six brothers who made their perpetual profession. This was the second highest number in India.
To grace this occasion, the parents of the newly professed, relatives and well-wishers were present. Also, many religious took part in this celebration. After the Mass the newly professed brothers witnessed the felicitation program in the auditorium, followed by cake-cutting.
We thank the Lord for the great day and for the gift of these newly professed brothers to our Congregation. Through the intercession of our founder, may He continue to send laborers to work in His vineyard, to make known Jesus and Mary.
Hearty Congratulations Dear Brothers!
                                                                                                           -Fr Selva Kumar, smm
