STAGE 1: Facing Reality

TRUE WISDOM
AFFIRMING THE VISION

PRAYER

Rosary

Mary is the Mother, the Mistress and Throne of divine Wisdom  (LEW 203). Through her intercession, let us pray that we may experience the “marvellous effects of Wisdom” (cf. LEW 90-103).

Spirit of enlightenment: “Eternal Wisdom communicates her Spirit of enlightenment to the soul that possesses her, ‘I prayed, and understanding was given to me; I pleaded and the spirit of wisdom came upon me’” (LEW 92).

Science of holiness: “Eternal Wisdom communicates to us the great science of holiness as well as the natural sciences, and even the most secret ones when they are needed” (LEW 93).

Power to impart the truth: “Wisdom gives us not only light to know the truth but also a remarkable power to impart it to others […]. Wisdom knows what we want to say and communicates to us the art of saying it well” (LEW 95).

Source of pure joy: “Wisdom is the source of purest joys and consolations for those who possess her […]. She enlightens our mind with the brightness of her own light and pours into our heart an indescribable joy, sweetness and peace” (LEW 98).

Fire in doing great things for God: “Wisdom sets on fire those who enjoy her friendship, inspiring them to undertake great things for the glory of God and the salvation of souls” (LEW 100).

Concluding Prayers

  • “Jesus Living in Mary”, by Jean-Jacques Olier (1608-1657), founder of the Society of Saint-Sulpice.

O Jesus living in Mary,
come and live in your servants,
in the spirit of your holiness,
in the fullness of your power,
in the perfection of your ways,
in the truth of your virtues,
in the communion of your mysteries.
Rule over every adverse power,
in your Spirit,
for the glory of the Father.
Amen!
