Cebu Mission - Montfort Missionaries Philippines

The Cebu mission started in 1995 when the first two newly ordained Filipino Montfort priests were sent to Cebu for possible ministry in the Archdiocese specifically mission work. They first joined the Cebu Archdiocesan Mission Program (CAMP) and later with the Redemptorists Itinerant Mission.   In 1998, the mission team launched the first mission on its own in some areas in St. Joseph Parish, Tabunok.  From this time on, a parish mission is launched every year with the goal of building and strengthening Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC) which is the main thrust of the Archdiocese.
