Prayer to the Trinity

Prayer / Liturgy

God our Father,

You call us to discover in you a “Father unfailing”,
a father who delights in giving of himself.
We give you thanks for Montfort,
for his complete confidence in your love,
for his total abandonment into your hands,
for his attachment to you and to your will.
We ask you:
free us from the fear that paralyzes,
and from the comfort that enfeebles.
Make us disciples of Montfort,
bold because we are confident
in you and in your faithful presence.

Lord Jesus,
you were sent by the Father in our flesh and our time.
Your words and your actions have revealed to us
the immense tenderness of God.
You have given us all that you are,
even to welcoming us in yourself
so that the Father might see in us his own children.
We thank you for having revealed yourself to Montfort.
Eternal and Incarnate Wisdom,
you seduced him, you transformed him, you led him to his total fulfillment.
O Wisdom, draw us to yourself, nourish us, console us, transform us.

Holy Spirit, living Breath of Pentecost,
you freed the apostles from fear
to make them witnesses of Christ,
bearers of the Good News
offered to all nations.
Praised may you be for having filled Montfort
with your power and boldness.
Praised may you be for having placed in his heart
the sentiments which reveal the Christ
and, in his mouth, the words
which speak of his tenderness for the world.
We ask you: make us missionaries
free and generous to burn like fires
and brighten the darkness of the world like suns.
Amen
