ANTANANARIVO, Madagascar – On Sunday, March 10, 2024, fifteen Montfortian associates had their consecration to Jesus through Mary in the parish of Saint Nom de Jésus, Andraisoro that was facilitated by the Montfort Fathers. Among the participants, eight of whom had renewed their consecration, and the remainder were received as beginners according to the rules of the Association. Prior to this precious and sacred moment, there was a great spiritual preparation through the Montfortian Month, the pilgrimage with the associated friends from Antsobolo – according to the annual practice for such preparation. After that, they also had the spiritual retreat and the reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The themes of the retreat were: “Dare to proclaim the Good News as Montfortians”, and “Aspire to Montfortian spirituality”.

The attendees have been informed of the Montfortian charism and spirituality which can be summarized as follows: We must not give up on our mission of preaching Jesus – the Eternal Wisdom incarnate of God – for whom we carry the Cross. In fact, prayer provides them with divine grace and true joy; and the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit enlighten and sustain them. Therefore, they will always renew their baptismal promises, to avoid in any case remaining idle, but rather to work and preach Christ.

Moreover, the Montfortian associates would like to thank Bro. Michel infinitely, who is the first head of the AMQAH of Andraisoro, for the teachings they shared, either in ordinary times or in their spiritual preparation. They are also grateful to Deacon Victor RATAFITANIAINA, SMM who nourished them with spiritual grace during their retreat. They also extend their gratitude to the parish priest, Fr. Crescent RAFAMANTANANTSOA, SMM for having freely accepted the celebration of their consecration in the Parish. Besides, it was him who made the AMQAH see its first day in Madagascar. They also send their sincerest thanks to Fr. Bruno RANDRIANASOLO KIKY, SMM, Provincial of Madagascar, who presided over the Holy Mass. Without his acceptance, the 15 members would not be able to do their consecration.

At the end of all this, there was a little cocktail of joy shared with Father Bruno and all the members of AMQAH from Andraisoro and Antsobolo. All to Jesus through Mary, for the greater Glory of God Alone.
