BANGALORE, India - As we stand at the pinnacle of 50 years of unwavering service, dedication, and commitment, we, the Society of Montfort Missionaries in the Vice Province of India find ourselves immersed in a profound journey of self-discovery and spiritual renewal. The celebration of this momentous milestone has been more than just a festivity; it has been a deeply personal and reflective experience.
In anticipation of this significant anniversary, we began on a profound spiritual journey, a crucial step in preparing our hearts and minds for the celebrations ahead. What made this retreat even more special was the gracious presence of Fr. Mario BELOTTI, SMM, a revered figure known for his wisdom and unwavering commitment to our shared mission.
Fr. Mario's acceptance to lead the retreat was a privilege not only for the finally professed members of our Indian Vice Province but also for the Daughters of Wisdom and Montfort Brothers who joined us on this spiritual journey. Divided into two potential batches, the retreat unfolded its golden jubilee splendor from November 10th to 15th and then from November 19th to 24th.
Our retreat was full of spiritual insights woven with Biblical teachings and Montfortian quotes offering us a sacred space for deep contemplation and self-renewal. The carefully curated content and interpretation guided us through moments of reflection, allowing us to renew and refresh our spiritual connection with God.
Fr. Mario's presence during the retreat was nothing short of surreal. His wisdom and infectious enthusiasm permeated every aspect of our time together, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts and minds. As one of the pioneers of our Indian Vice Province, his return to India after 41 years was a momentous occasion, not just for him but for our entire community. His powerful insights and jovial connections encouraged each of us to contemplate our unique paths of life and spiritual journeys.
