Fr. Arnold SUHARDI, SMM Meets Confreres in Malawi

MANGOCHI, Malawi - July 3, 2018 remains a day to remember for the Montfort Missionaries of the Africa Anglophone Delegation. It was the day that the Assistant Superior General, Fr. Arnold SUHARDI, SMM met with the members of the Anglophone Delegation serving in Malawi. Fr. Arnold arrived in Malawi on 30th June 2018. After staying for a couple of days in Nantipwili community, he travelled to Namiasi in Mangochi District, the scheduled place for the meeting.
 
The meeting started at 10:15 AM with a prayer. Some of the highlights of the meeting are: an exhortation to continuously discuss and implement the goals of A La Montfort; an explanation on the introduction of Continental Animation; mission as the heart of all missionaries; vocation promotion as the commitment of all the members of the delegation; formation house in Nairobi and starting mission in Kenya; Montfort Media and Luntha Television.
 
In his remarks, the Assistant Superior General thanked all confreres present and expressed his admiration for the way things are in the delegation. He also encouraged all to work hard on vocation promotion to bridge the gaps in the coming years.
 
On his part, the Delegate Superior, Fr. Felix Phiri, SMM thanked the participants for their dedication and active involvement.  He later announced about the profession of final vows for Brs. Fortune Gondwe, SMM and Petro Chilumpha, SMM which will take place on 03rd August 2018, and ordination to priesthood of Deacons Joseph Kudzala, SMM; Joseph Kudzala, SMM; Paul Kumwenda, SMM and Steve Mukusa, SMM on 4th August at St. Louis Montfort - Balaka Parish. Brs. Fortune and Petro will be ordained deacons on the same date.
 
Fr. Arnold also visited Montfortian communities and mission places around Malawi before his departure to Rome.
