ECATEPEC, Mexico - On Monday, November 22, 2021, the Superior General, Fr. Luiz Augusto Stefani, SMM and the General Councilor, Fr. Wismick Jean-Charles, SMM visited for the first time the Montfortian community founded in Mexico. They stayed for a week in the parish of San Martin de Porres in the town of Ecatepec with us: Fr. Francesco, SMM, Fr. José Luis, SMM and Fr. Joseph Love, SMM.
On Wednesday, we had a meeting where we talked about the journey of the congregation and the project of the new community. On Thursday, we had a meeting with Bishop Roberto and we had lunch with him.
During the week, the visiting Fathers had the chance to get to know our parish of San Martín de Porres better, celebrating in the main church and in the chapels of San José and La Asunción.
In addition, the Parish Council organized a fraternity evening to receive the Father General and his Councillor. It was a great moment for the experiences that were shared and for the words of thanks from the members of the Parish Council.
On the same week, we also had the opportunity to take a walk as we visit the city of Huasca and also to meet Margarita, a Mexican laywoman and Montfortian Associate who is very committed to the dissemination of our spirituality.
