Philippine Delegation Assembly: Sharing of Dreams
QUEZON CITY, Philippines - On April 10, 2018, the SMM Philippine Delegation held an assembly together with the Superior General, Rev. Fr. Luiz Augusto Stefani, SMM and one of his Councilors, Rev. Fr. Rozario Menezes, SMM. The event took place at the Delegation House, New Manila, Quezon City, Philippines. All communities were present at the said event.
The assembly started at 2:30 pm with an animation song “This is the day” by Rev. Fr. Benjie Notarte, SMM together with the Scholastics; followed with an opening prayer by Rev. Fr. Sherwin Nuñez, SMM. The assembly was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Richard Magararu, SMM, Delegation Superior. The highlight of the assembly was the sharing of the dreams of each community and the delegation as a whole. After that, the Superior General expressed his gratitude for welcoming them warmly and for the enriching experiences throughout his pastoral visit.
Rev. Fr. Luiz Augusto Stefani, SMM expressed to the Philippine Delegation the possibilities of opening new missions and also challenged the confreres to learn other languages in lieu of the mission. The assembly culminated with a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Rozario Menezes, SMM. After the Eucharist, a simple yet splendid dinner was shared together including our Indonesian confreres, Fr. Kashimir and Fr. Ordy. It was also a despedida party for Fr. Luiz and Fr. Rozario. Each community presented a tribute to the Superior General and his assistant through meaningful songs and dances. The night ended with a Closing Remarks by Fr. Richard Magararu, SMM, and a prayer.
