SANTERAMO, Italy - After nine years, the Italian Province has decided to re-open the Novitiate in Santeramo in Colle. In agreement with the general administration, it will be a novitiate open to candidates from Europe. In addition to the novitiate of Montfort-sur-Meu, there are now two novitiates in Europe. In the evening of Monday, 10 September 2018, in Loreto, during the Spiritual Exercises, the Provincial Superior, Fr. Mario Belotti presided the opening celebration of the Novitiate. Three candidates have officially joined the Novitiate: two Italians, Antonio Bettoni, Salvatore Scalese, and one Croatian, Mario Cerovac. Let us assure our prayers for the three novices and their Master, Fr. Luciano Nembrini and their Vice- Master, Fr. Alfio Mandelli. In Rome, four postulants have begun their pre-novitiate: two from Poland, one from Bosnia-Herzegovina and one from Italy.
