The Renewal of Vows of the Scholastics in Lima, Peru
LIMA, Peru - On July 20, 2020, during the 73rd Canonization Anniversary of our Founder, Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort, the scholastics renewed their vows in Lima, Peru, namely:
- Bro. Amos Beaubrun, smm
- Bro. Jean-Mackenly César, smm
- Bro. Joasemsky Blanc, smm
- Bro. Lauro Javier Aguilar, smm
- Bro. Lucas Filipe Costa, smm
The Mass was held at the Visitation Parish around 11:30 am and was presided by Fr. Jesús Leopoldo Cucho, SMM who also received the renewal of vows of the above-mentioned as a representative of the Superior General. Fr. Luis Salvador, SMM and Fr. Juan Bigoni, SMM who are both formators at the scholasticate house, were also present as concelebrants together with SMM Fathers Marcos, Charles, Henry Curty and Jesu Doss.
Bro. Jean-Mackenly has been given also the ministries of lectors and acolytes. Through the intercessions of Mary and Montfort, it has been a grace for us to renew our lives for our salvation and the whole world amidst this pandemic that slows down academic and pastoral activities, making us free and ready for the service of the Kingdom.
We thank God who, through His Holy Spirit, has given us this great founder; to the Montfortian community on the formation journey and to all those who, through Montfortian Spirituality, seek to become like Christ and pray for us so that we can continue to nurture these promises in our lives and in the mission which Jesus entrusted to us in the Church.
