MALAWI: Ordination to the Diaconate of David and Jailos

On 7th December, 2013, David Niwagaba, smm and Jailos Augustine Mpina, smm were ordained deacons by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Bishop Allesandro Pagani of Mangochi diocese. Rt. Rev. Archbishop Thomas Msusa of Blantyre and Rt. Rev. George Ndungu of Chipata diocese also concelebrated in the ordination Mass. The colourful celebration of the ordination to the diaconate took place at St. Louis de Montfort - Balaka Parish, Mangochi diocese. A great number of clergy, religious brothers and sisters, parents and relations of David and Jailos, Balaka parishoners, Christians from within Malawi and from Uganda, religious, and people from all walks of life witnessed the ordination ceremony. Fr. Louis announced that Deacon David is assigned to Mbarara community in Uganda while preparing for his ordination and Deacon Jailos is assigned to St. Louis de Montfort-Balaka parish.
