PUTUSSIBAU, Indonesia - The General Assembly of the Asia-Oceania Continental Mission Year was hosted by the Indonesian Province from 3rd to 13th July 2022. There were many activities carried out, both at the continental and provincial levels. The Mission Commission meeting was held in Putussibau, West Kalimantan. The expectation from the meeting was to make recommendations that are practical and be put into practice in parishes and in the Mission House, so that there is a typical Montfortian style and the same pattern in every parish and every Mission House.

The Mission Commission meeting was opened with a lively celebration of the Eucharist. The Eucharistic celebration was led by Fr. Antonius TENSI, SMM, accompanied by Fr. Balaswamy KATA, SMM, and Fr. Jack RUA BAI, SMM. Many people attended, namely the members of the Association of Mary Queen of All Hearts (AMQAH) locally known as PMRSH, Montfort Youth, Pastoral Council members, and other people. Many devotees were also involved in liturgical duties such as choir, lector, dance, etc. In his homily, Fr. Antonius emphasized creativity as the DNA of all Montfortians; a Montfortian must be creative. After the Eucharistic prayer, all those present were invited for dinner together and to watch the performance of Montfort Youth.

On the following day, the meeting continued by looking at the mission of SMM Indonesia from a historical perspective which was conveyed by Fr. Rafael, SMM. After the session from Fr. Rafael, the meeting continued with sharing from each community about community life, mission, and the spirituality of a Montfortian.

Sharing from each community was done in two days. On Monday, July 18, 2022, the participants formulated several practical recommendations that each entity could put into practice. Recommendations consist of community life, implementation, and integration of spirituality in the mission of each entity. Fr. Antonius, the Provincial, emphasized two important keywords in these recommendations, namely communication and collaboration.

The Mission Commission meeting was closed with a Eucharistic celebration led by Fr. Antonius Tensi, SMM. In his homily, Fr. Antonius spoke about the success of the meeting and the recommendations made. In addition, he also thanked all for the support from various sectors who made the meeting.
