ANTANANARIVO, Madagascar - “How beautiful it is to see running over the mountains the messenger who announces peace, the messenger of the good news who announces salvation, the one who comes to speak to the holy city; "He is king, your God".” (Is 52,7)
It is also beautiful to see tireless apostles ablaze with the ardent desire to preach the Good News all over the world, in fraternal service following a Saint, "apostolic missionary", named Louis-Marie de Montfort. So, it is beautiful to see that 305 years after his death, his spiritual heritage continues to bear fruit in the Church of Christ. It is also beautiful to see the Montfortian family reunited on April 28 to celebrate the Solemnity of its Founder despite the Covid-19.
On this occasion, the three communities of Antananarivo (Community of the Provincial House, Community of Postulants-Andraisoro and Community of Scholasticate-Antamponakatso) were able to share together the Eucharist and the fraternal meal in Andraisoro. Fathers Bruno, Séraphin, Denussein, Philibert, Clément and Adolphe, Bros. Ernest and Michel, the scholastics, the postulants and, not least, the laity of the AMRC, Ms. Fanja and Mr. Tovo, were present. Father Bruno did not run out of words in his homily to challenge the confreres and the laity to know how to trust the intelligence of the heart in order to acquire Wisdom well and to know it, to revisit our Montfortian vocation as a work of Providence in the world like Mathurin Rangeard, the first Montfortian, to identify us with Saint Louis-Marie de Montfort, a spiritual figure of his time and of ours.
Let us note that, in our entity, we are also celebrating on this date the 19th year of priesthood of Fathers Bruno, Seraphim, Liva, Alexandre, André and the 5th year of priesthood of Fathers Philibert, Clément and Cyrille.
It was indeed a joyful day. Happy Feast!
